Here at Bluegrass Funny Farm, we raise and breed Myotonic, or Fainting goats. We are a small Hobby Farm located in Scott County Kentucky. We got our first myotonic goat as a pet, and fell in love with the breed.
We now have 29 goats, all registered with the Myotonic Goat Registry. "Fainting" goats are friendly, intelligent, and easy keepers. They have what is called myotonia congenita, which is a condition that causes the goats muscles to freeze when excited, scared or any other high level of emotion.
We test annually for CL, CAE, and Johnes, and buy new goats from annually tested herds as well. All our goats 1 year and older were tested in July of 2015, with negative results. We also deworm, trim feet and vaccinate regularly.
We occasionally will have some goats for sale. Just keep checking back to see our lovely goats.
We also have many other animals on our farm, such as horses, mini donkeys, chickens, dogs and cats. Our animals are part of our family, and we love them all. We like to trail ride and camp with friends and family. We raise our chickens for fresh eggs, and they are big pets too.
